Coming on for Jordan Ayew in the 82nd minute, Batshuayi received an excited welcome from a packed crowd who were pleased to see him don the red and blue under the Selhurst lights.
Speaking after the game, the 25-year-old striker explained how featuring in the win felt and expressed his keenness to train properly with the rest of his teammates.
He said, "It's very important [the win], it's good for the team and for me. I feel good, good but I need to train with the team so to have the whole team together will be something that's good."
And asked how much or even if he'd met the rest of the squad, Batshuayi remarked that he has not spent much time with his fellow Eagles despite seemingly fitting in on the pitch seamlessly.
"Today, [I was] with the team yes," he elaborated. "But I spent one day before training and with the coach."
Finally, asked what he will be aiming to do from now until the end of the season, Batshuayi gave a clear statement of intent, saying that he is anxious to perform for the Eagles in order to help them climb further up the table.
He ended by saying, "I'm going to bring as much as I can to help the team win and get some game time to be at my best."
