All over in France. Palace go down in a five-goal thriller.

Despite a brave second-half it was not to be for Pierre Sage's side this evening. Lyon take the points.

We're into the dying moments in Lyon. Is there still one more chance for us?

Can we nick another?

Not this time... Richards gets his head to it but it's kept out before Lyon get a free-kick.

FOUR minutes have been added on.

Final change for Palace is here. McNeil is on for Timber for the final few minutes.

We're not done yet!!!!

There's a scramble in the box... Nketiah can't get to it, but Kamada can!

He fires into the Lyon net and once again we have hope. There's still eight minutes plus stoppage time to save this one.

Lyon have a third and it's the substitute Šulc.

Benitez has a shot covered, but he gets his body in the way, from an onside position, and flicks the ball goalwards from only a few yards.

That might be that for Palace this evening...

Here come Khalaili and Osorio.

Sulc and Boudache come on for the hosts. They have had a knack for slowing the game down at the right time tonight.

BIG SAVE FROM WALTER. Lyon get the ball wide and hang over a cross, Nuamah gets up but Benitez turns the ball over the crossbar. That could be a huge moment.

Pierre Sage brings on Kamada and Nketiah, who replace Sarr and Strand Larsen. Momentum is still with the Eagles at the moment.

Palace are in control now. Mingueza wins a free-kick down the right, with Sarr having very nearly unlocked the Lyon defence just moments before. One-way traffic at the moment.

IT WORKED!!!

A classic training ground move on the corner leads to the ball being set back for Wharton.

His pass superbly picks out Pino who keeps his cool and slots the ball high into the roof of the Lyon net. Get in there!!!!

Palace have a way back here. Two in two in the Europa League for Pino!

Much better from Palace in the early stages of the second-half.

Pino wins a corner and will take it...

Palace get the second-half rolling in Lyon!

Can we find a way back into this one? We're about to find out...

That's the first 45 minutes. Not a great deal to shout about for Palace so far.

Trailing by two goals feels a tad harsh, but Lyon have moved the ball much quicker and reaped their rewards so far.

It's 2-0 to the hosts. A swift attack ends with Nakumara picking out Nuamah who fires past Benitez.

Lyon go close to a second. Nakumura manages to isolate Richards on the left wing and gets a low cross into the danger zone... thankfully Canvot manages to divert the shot behind for a corner.

Palace manage to survive the set-piece. Still 1-0 to the hosts.

Well that's bizarre.

Pino gets in the best cross of the match so far and Sarr manages to divert it towards goal. Greif manages to make an excellent save to turn it behind....

...but rather than give a corner, the official books Sarr and gives a free-kick, presumably for handball?

I don't know what he's seen there. Even on the replay it looks to have come off Sarr's head. Strange one. Still 1-0 to the hosts, but that was much better from Palace.

Tolisso gets a ball to the back post where Nuamah manages to outjump Mitchell.

His header looks to be looping towards goal, but Benitez gets a strong punch on the ball. That could prove a big moment.

The goalscorer Tolisso is down and needs some treatment. The game stops for a brief pause in play as a result, giving the team a chance to take some water on and get some instructions.

This might come at a good time for the Eagles. The momentum is with the hosts at the moment.

Pino has gone down, but no foul is given and Lyon charge forward on the break. Their wide players in particular have started really well.

Fortunately on this occasion Palace regroup and get numbers behind the ball.

Palace have had plenty of territory since the goal, but still looking for a first shot on target.

Mitchell takes a shot on the bounce, but that's high and wide.

The hosts have the lead. An inswinging corner from the right isn't cleared at the near post and Lyon captain Corentin Tolisso rams home from close range.

Early setback for us in France.

Lovely build down the left side with Pino and Mitchell linking up. Strand Larsen gets on the end of Mitchell's low cross but his effort is deflected into the hands of Lyon's goalkeeper Greif.

A bright start from Palace!

Here we go. We're up and running at Parc OL.

Pierre Sage to TNT Sports on the number of changes he's made tonight: "It's another way to give some problems to our opponent of the evening.

"That's why sometimes we change. When you have a lot of players and they deserve to play, you have a choice to do, with the context of the opponent, with what we can do against this team especially."

Here are the two starting XIs for tonight's game, one final time....

Lyon: Greif (GK), Vinicius, Kluivert, Bacher, Athekame, Morton, Nartey, Tolisso, Merah, Nuamah, Nakamura.

Subs: Bengul (GK), Descamps (GK), Bidstrup, Mata, Kamara, Tessmann, Kango, Niakhate, Duranville, Sulc, Nakamura, Boudache.

Palace: Benítez (GK), Disasi, Richards, Canvot, Mingueza, Timber, Wharton, Mitchell, Pino, Sarr, Strand Larsen.

Subs: Matthews (GK), Benetton (GK), Khalaili, Ahanor, Benamar, Hughes, McNeil, Kamada, Osorio, Nketiah.

Parc OL isn't full this evening, there's a fair few empty sections of this magnificent arena.

But the fans that are inside are certainly making themselves heard. Lyon's team is read out over the PA to ramp up the atmosphere another notch. The teams are in the tunnel.

The rest of the Eagles are out for the warm-up!

First real noise from the away supporters high up in the far corner of the Parc OL to greet them.

Over 45 minutes before kick-off there were enough home fans inside the Parc OL to give Walter, Remi and Lucca a fair few boos as they entered the pitch.

From our view at the top of the stadium the pitch looks in perfect condition. This is a proper European stage. I expect a proper European atmosphere will follow.

Bonjour from Lyon! We're on the road again, this time in the Europa League...
