Crystal Palace Under-21s forward John-Kymani Gordon has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for September.
Gordon, 19, is the currently league's top scorer, with six goals in the competition. He bagged three league goals in September, starting the month with a match-winning hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur.
Away from the Premier League 2 Gordon also helped achieve a remarkable win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Premier League International Cup, bagging his second hat-trick of the month as Palace won 7-3.
He was rewarded for these displays by being named on the bench for the first-team's clash against Chelsea, seeing him feature in a Premier League squad for the first time.
The last Palace player to win PL2 Player of the Month was Jesurun Rak-Sakyi in March this year. This month's shortlist was selected by the Premier League's Football Development Panel, after PL2 club coaches nominated the best performance by an opponent in each of their league matches in the month.
The winner will be announced on Friday, 14th October.
