Crystal Palace will open their FA Youth Cup campaign with a home draw against 2021/22 winners Manchester United.
United are record winners of the Under-18 competition, taking the trophy 11 times, including for the inaugural tournament in 1953. Palace have their own proud history in the Youth Cup, winning it back-to-back in 1977 and 1978 with the future 'Team of the Eighties', and finishing runners-up in 1992 and 1997.
The '92 final was against United's Class of 92, making this year's fixture a historically significant draw.
The game will take place in south London by Saturday, 17th December and will be decided by extra-time and penalties if necessary, if the scores are level after 90 minutes.
Palace's last Youth Cup clash ended in a shootout against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January this year. Recent graduates like Wilfried Zaha, Victor Moses, Nathaniel Clyne and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have all featured in the tournament for Palace.
