Joachim Andersen has been called up to the Denmark squad for the European Championships in Germany this summer.
The Palace centre-back has enjoyed an exemplary season in south London, winning the club’s Players’ Player of the Season Award.
He is looking to add to his 30 Denmark caps, hoping to go one better than in 2021 when De Rød-Hvide reached the semi-finals before losing out to England at Wembley.
Denmark take on Sweden (Wednesday, 5th June; 18:00 BST) and Norway (Saturday, 8th June; 18:30 BST) in warm-up games before the tournament, before heading to Germany.
In the group stage, they will take on England in Frankfurt – Oliver Glasner’s old stomping ground – on 20th June, where Andersen could face his defensive partner Marc Guéhi, one of four Palace players to make the provisional England squad.
