Marc Guéhi has been named Crystal Palace’s cinch Player of the Month for March.
The centre-back’s form for his club was recognised by England manager Gareth Southgate with another call-up to the national squad for the European Championship qualifiers.
“The games have been tough at the moment but I'm proud,” Guéhi said as he accepted the award. “For sure it is definitely one that represents the team spirit.
“It’s great [to be called up by England]. It’s always great to be called up for the national team. It’s good to be back in the setup, good to be in the setup. I’m only there because of the team, because of how well the team has helped me as a player. I’m really glad to be there.
“It’s been good learning from [Roy Hodgson and Ray Lewington’s] experience. Everyone is looking forward to getting the games underway.
“It’s massive [to get a result against Leicester]. Everyone knows how important this game is just to kick start what we want to do for the rest of the season so full focus is on that.”
