The busy international schedule continued for Crystal Palace’s Jefferson Lerma and Daniel Munoz on Saturday evening, ahead of the 2024 Copa America campaign later this month.
Lerma and Munoz both started in Colombia’s 3-0 friendly win over Bolivia on Saturday in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Lerma played 90 minutes in his midfield position, while Muñoz played 68 minutes before the right-back was dismissed following an altercation with Bolivia forward Cesar Menacho.
Nestor Lorenzo’s squad scored early and often, eventually holding a three-goal lead at the interval.
Jhon Arias needed only five minutes to break the deadlock before Jhon Cordoba and Luis Diaz added tallies of their own.
From a Palace perspective, Lerma was strong in midfield, completing 92% of his passes, winning two duels and making one interception.
Muñoz, meanwhile won four duels, completed one tackle, and made three defensive recoveries.
Colombia head into the competition as one of the favourites to win the tournament, off the back of a 23-match unbeaten run.
Los Cafeteros face Paraguay on 24th June in Houston, Texas, in their opening match of the group stage.
