Michael Olise has been nominated for Men’s Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season at the 2023 London Football Awards.
The creative attacker has gone from strength-to-strength this season, winning the club’s Player of the Month awards for November and December; picking up four assists; and scoring spectacular injury-time goals against West Ham United and Manchester United.
It is for the latter which Olise has been nominated for Goal of the Season – and supporters can vote for his goal here. Voting closes at 13:00 GMT on Friday, 10th February.
In the Men’s Young Player of the Year category – which will be decided by an independent judging panel – Olise faces competition from Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba; and Millwall’s Billy Mitchell.
Up against the Palace No.7 for Goal of the Season, meanwhile, is Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min, Watford’s Ismaïla Sarr, Leyton Orient’s Paul Smyth and Arsenal Women’s Laura Wienroither.
His effort against Manchester United was recently named Premier League Goal of the Month for January.
Olise is not the only Palace representation on this year’s London Football Awards shortlist, with Palace for Life Foundation **also up for the Community Project of the Year Award for their ‘Get Involved’ initiative.
Get Involved aims to increase weekly engagement in physical activity, specifically from those of Asian backgrounds, by addressing the barriers to participation in grassroots football by maintaining dialogue with the local community to ensure spaces are truly inclusive.
The London Football Awards will take place on Monday, 13th March.
