Speaking after the match, he said, "I honestly think we dropped points today. There was ten minutes of the game remaining and they scored, it’s 1-1 and even after that we had one very good chance from a corner but looking over the 90 minutes I think we dropped the points."
However, the Palace captain also took positives from the game, seeing it as an example whereby his side played well and were unlucky, rather than poor and fortunate to have earned a point.
"The first half we played well," he said. "We scored the goal and had some other chances and then [in the] second half they had more of the ball, had more possession but they didn’t create a lot. We defended and tried to counter them and had a few good chances to score a second goal and finish the game but we didn’t.
"I think our front three players played a very good game today but after we conceded and then the red card we had to settle to take just the point."
Palace's Wilfried Zaha netted the Eagles' only goal of the game before receiving his marching orders through a second yellow card as the match drew to a close.
Milivojevic expressed that he felt pleased for Zaha to net a crucial goal, but also made it clear that Palace will miss him in their upcoming fixture with Fulham.
He said, "It will have meant a lot to him because he is one of the players who needs to score the goals. I know he hasn’t scored for a long time but he has been winning penalties for us which is a credit to him.
"I am happy for him because he scored but I am not happy about the red card because we are going to miss him now in a very important period for us and we will miss him in our game on Saturday.
"It's very hard for me to comment on the situation straight after the game, I’m here to protect my players even if they make a mistake but as a group, we can’t do anything about it. We will miss him 100% but we carry on.
"We now need to think about our next match against Fulham, which is a big game for us and we will be going into that one to try and get all three points."
