The Eagles' first matchday arrived as Pulis' men prepared to take on Columbus with one final training session at the Crew's outdoor facility.
Ahead of the eagerly anticipated opening friendly of the tour, Palace Player went out and about to look at some of the city's highlights, before heading to the Crew Stadium for the big game.
Despite falling behind in that match, goals from Glenn Murray and Jake Gray gave Palace a 2-2 draw in what was a hard-fought encounter, leaving Pulis satisfied with his team's efforts.
Thursday 24th July 2014
Palace wake up for an early breakfast ahead of an afternoon flight to their next port of call, Philadelphia, for a game against the Union.
Having landed at around 4pm local time, the players just about had time to visit a couple of local landmarks - the Liberty Bell and the Rocky Steps, made famous by Sylvester Stallone in the boxing blockbusters.
They then headed into town for a staff meal, before catching another early night to recharge the batteries for matchday two.

Although the match wasn't to be played until 7pm local time, the Palace squad and cpfc.co.uk were at PPL Park early, as Pulis put his team through their paces at Philadelphia's picturesque home stadium.
Following lunch and a relaxing afternoon off, the Eagles returned to PPL Park at around 5.30pm ahead of what was likely to be their toughest test of the tour, but an own goal from Union defender Ethan White meant that Palace departed Philly with their first Stateside victory under their belts - although boss Pulis believed his side should have scored more goals on the night.

Monday 28th July 2014
As Palace's final American matchday arrived, the players underwent a light training session in the morning, focusing mainly on shape, before returning to the City Stadium at around 6pm local time.
The ground welcomed its biggest attendance of the season so far as Virginia hosted an English Premier League team for the first time in the state's history - but Palace spoiled the party as they rounded off their Stateside stay with a 3-0 victory.
The result pleased manager Tony Pulis as he reflected on that performance and the tour as a whole when he spoke to Palace Player after the game.
