A key player in obtaining yet another three points on the road was Wilfried Zaha, who made it two goals in three games for himself, and 10 in the Premier League with his game-opening goal away at the Bluebirds.
Speaking post-match, Zaha said: "We knew how they were going to play today, and we just played to our strengths and I am just glad to get the win."
Palace TV host, Chris Grierson, discussed with Zaha his slight role change today, playing out on the left-hand side of midfield rather than as a winger or an out-and-out striker, but the Ivory Coast international was more than happy with the tactical shift: "I am out wide, and that is okay with me. Me, Michy, Jordan and Andros, we understand each other, and it just made sense; it worked well us four together."
On his goal personal record-breaking goal, Zaha said: "I just played it out to Andros and when it was out there, I thought they are obviously big in defence, and a ball over the top like that, wouldn't have reached one of our players. So I just hung back a bit, and when he cut it back to me, I thought 'let me take a step the other way and try and reverse it the other way, I saw the keeper took a step the other way, so I thought let me see what happens and obviously I managed to score."
