Palace took the lead early on through Ebere Eze, before being pegged back by the hosts via a Jhon Durán equaliser.
Injuries to Eze and Adam Wharton in the first-half made the challenge that much harder for Palace, but the side soldiered on, and substitute Daichi Kamada managed to fire Palace ahead once more just past the hour mark.
The Eagles managed to see out the rest of the game, with a resilient display from everyone involved – and votes spread accordingly across numerous players – but it was Muñoz who won the majority of your nods.
The Colombian full-back was at his energetic best at Villa Park, producing four key passes (passes leading to shots) – including the assist for Eze's opening goal – as well as five tackles and two clearances at the other end. No other Palace player had more touches than Muñoz.
He duly won 32.3% of votes cast, with match-winner Kamada second on 24.1%; Will Hughes third on 15.4%; and defender Trevoh Chalobah also scoring highly on 11.8%.
