Palace have been a bogey club to the Reds in recent years who have scored at least once in each of Liverpool’s last seven visits to SE25, while you have to go back to the 1997/98 campaign for the last time today’s opponents achieved a league double over the Eagles.
It will also be the first time Roy Hodgson has faced off against his former club since April 2012 when he was at West Bromwich Albion, and boasts three wins in his last five matches against the the red half of Merseyside.
Red-hot attack and stupendous Salah
Having only tasted two league defeats since October, Liverpool have been imperious in recent months despite losing Philippe Coutinho in January to Barcelona. That hasn’t stunted their progress whatsoever, winning six of their nine Premier League games since the Brazilian’s £105 million departure, and breezing past Porto to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
That has set up a mouth-watering clash against Manchester City, with the Reds buoyed by being the only team to inflict defeat against the champions-elect this season.
Their formidable front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah all netted that day, three goals amongst a haul of 73 so far this term from the dynamic trio. Leading the way is Salah who tops the Premier League goalscoring charts this term with 28 strikes, aided by his recent four-goal haul against Watford.

Jurgen Klopp: “We have to win football games and the next one especially will be very difficult. Crystal Palace, they won on Saturday [and it’s] after an international break so we have to be ready in two days.
“We will be ready in two days, that’s a challenge, but first of all they [Liverpool’s players] all need to come back healthy and I hope really for that.
“Then we have to prepare for the rest of the season and use the good situation and the good basis we created.”

Hodgson's injury woes have lessened in recent weeks, but he does have doubts over James Tomkins and Wilfried Zaha who have knocks, while Alexander Sørloth will be assessed after missing the win at Huddersfield Town with a hamstring injury.
Jason Puncheon, Scott Dann and Bakary Sako are now the only long-term casualties and look likely to miss the rest of the season,
Klopp was dealt a blow during the international break after Joe Gomez was forced off during England's friendly with Holland with an ankle injury, and he looks set to miss this game.
However there was better news in that Dejan Lovren returned to training after a similar injury, but Emre Can was sent home from the Germany camp with a back injury and ex-Eagle Nathaniel Clyne is struggling for fitness after his lengthy absence.
