He said, "We had a very good game today, [we created] many chances and we played very well. I think the win is deserved. I'm happy for the team, we deserved the win and when we play like that, I think we'll get more points in future."
It was a moment of magic which secured the three points for Palace, and Meyer wasn't short of praise for the game's second goalscorer, Andros Townsend. Looking back, he remarked, "Andros' goal was amazing, an unbelievable goal. He has a very good left foot and he showed that today."
The match was Palace's first home win of the season, and the reaction to taking three points under the Selhurst lights was vibrant. Having been substituted in the 90th minute, Meyer received a standing ovation.
"I love the fans," he said. "They're really good to me and I like to play with the team for the fans and for Selhurst Park. And today, the atmosphere was very good.
"I had a good game today. We had lots of possession and it's good for me when we have more possession. I just hope next time I can score! English football is much quicker and I like that, German football can be a little slow. I like it more when we play quickly."
