Annabel Blanchard, Aimee Everett and Shanade Hopcroft are all up for Championship awards for the month of April, after Crystal Palace Women clinched the league title to seal promotion to the Women’s Super League.
Blanchard was a creative force in wins over Birmingham City – in which she assisted Elise Hughes’ winner – and Lewes, whilst Everett helped the Eagles keep clean sheets in all three of their April matches; both are up for Championship Player of the Month.
They face competition for April’s award from Charlton’s Mel Johnson and Blackburn’s Jade Richards – with voting now open here.
Hopcroft, meanwhile, has been nominated for Championship Goal of the Month following her stunning half-volley to open the scoring from distance against Lewes at The Dripping Pan.
Also up for the award are Charlton’s Mel Filis; Southampton’s Molly Pike; Birmingham’s Lily Agg; and Watford’s Coral Haines.
Voting for both awards closes at 10:00 on Friday 3rd May.
Two Palace players have already won Championship Player of the Month this season: Blanchard in September and Izzy Atkinson in February.
The Eagles also won Goal of the Month three times in a row, with Blanchard winning in September, Araya Dennis in October and Shauna Guyatt in November.
