Joining Crystal Palace at just 12-years-old, Republic of Ireland youth international Tayo Adaramola made his first-team debut in the FA Cup in 2021.
Whether flying forwards to join the attack or rushing back to shut up shop, he has been a constant on the left-hand side of Palace’s young sides. The adventurous full-back creates as many chances as he snuffs out, and can play in a more advanced midfield role if needed.
After regularly making the first-team matchday squad, he joined Belgian side RWD Molenbeek on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Adaramola joined Palace at Under-12s level, after his mother made the decision to move to London from Dublin to improve his chances of making it as a professional footballer. After five months without a team – including trials at Charlton and West Ham – her faith was paid off when Adaramola signed for Palace.
As well as signing professional terms in 2020, he was called up to represent Ireland at Under-17s level. His performances for the Under-18s in 2020/21 saw him called up to Shaun Derry’s Under-23s squad – he made his first appearance at Selhurst Park in their crucial 3-2 victory over Middlesbrough.
The following season Adaramola began to train with the first-team and managed to earn his senior debut in the final minutes of an FA Cup Fourth Round win over Hartlepool United in February 2022. He went on to feature again in the FA Cup Fifth Round, starting in a 2-1 victory over Stoke City.
In 2022/23, Adaramola has been a near-constant presence for the Under-21s side, with his performances earning him repeated call-ups to the Republic of Ireland Under-21s side. He finished the 22/23 campaign with 33 appearances in all competitions for the U21s, helping them to the final of the Premier League International Cup.
Adaramola's start to 2023/24 was hampered by injury, though he recovered to feature off the bench against Liverpool U21s in October 2023.
He made nine appearances and registered one assist for the Under-21s across all competitions in the first half of 23/24, before moving on loan to Belgian Pro League side RWD Molenbeek on loan in January 2024.
The defender made 14 appearances for Molenbeek, however they were unable to stay up in the relegation play-off phase, missing out on safety by a single point.
In July 2024, Adaramola moved to Stockport County on loan ahead of the 2024/25 season.
